Kindergarten Award Program

This morning was the kindergarten awards program! And after a few weeks in school....Elliott already received one! Something about being a big helper. So proud of my boy!!!

And then Emily and I had to drive to the apartment in this mess....It's snowing pretty heavy. I skidded a few times on the road. I saw a pickup truck on the side of the road upside down in the ditch. I was really worried later on in the day about picking up Elliott from school. Patrick left work early and picked Elliott up...it took them 2 1/2 hours to get home in what should have been a 30 min drive. I was a nervous wreck until they got home!! I've never known such relief as when I had my family all safe and at home for the weekend!!!

Dallas Zoo

Today is Valentine's Day. We didn't do too much to celebrate. It's hard to celebrate and go all out when we are still waiting to get into our hosue. Everyone got their very own box of chocolates. Just ask Emily...she'll tell you her box is ALL hers!!

We decided to venture out and explore the Dallas Zoo. We invited Patrick's dad to meet us there. It was a lot of fun to all hang out together. The kids of course had a ton of fun.

I hung out these kiddos on the carousel. They LOVED it. Emily giggled the entire time.

Patrick took them on the train ride.

 And Elliott insisted on a picture of them on the tortoise.

Valentine's School Party

Emily and I had so much fun visiting Elliott today at his school for his valentine's day party. Elliott kept saying over and over that this was the best day ever at school! Emily had a ton of fun helping Elliott eat his sweet treats.
