Olaf Piggy Bank

When this little girl broke her piggy bank...we had to go shopping for a new one!! She chose Olaf, of course! But Hello Kitty was a close call too. She was antsy the entire ride home to "play" with Olaf. So she was excited to feed him money....although it was definitely serious business!!!

She wasn't very happy with me when I wouldn't let her "play" with Olaf. I didn't want to have another broken piggy bank...especially on the 1st day. So...she pouted in her room and came out "hiding" in her favorite blanket. Silly girl! We became friends soon after!

Love this sweet girl of mine!! And I have already let Patrick now that I am going to spoil her like crazy since she will be our only girl!!

Patrick is 40!!!

As part of Patrick's birthday weekend....he wanted to do a fun project.

My craft area had to be condensed....he took good care of it at least. That's how you know I love my guy!

And it's completed....in less than 24 hours!! Started around 6 or 7 pm Friday night and finished around 3 pm on Saturday!! So proud of him!! It's pretty basic....the plans have instructions on how to add side shelves...and we may add molding on the top and bottom eventually. But...we are ready for overnight guests now!!

We were so excited to celebrate Patrick's birthday on Sunday!! Emily was weird about it...and refused to tell him happy birthday all day long!

I made him a chewy pecan pie...it was so yummy!!!

His star wars quilt I made him....finally.

He also got a fitbit....cards from his parents and mine....and I also got him a can of cheese with chips and jalapenos for nachos. So...for the past 10 years, everytime we go to Costco or Sams...he mentions he wants a #10 can of nacho cheese. I just roll my eyes at him. So...not as big....but now he has his can of cheese!!! Ha ha!!!

Run for the Rings 2015

Elliott had so much fun at Run for the Rings!! And he came in 4th place!! As he says..."I was so close to get a medal!!" Patrick volunteered so I stayed home with Emily. I probably should have gone. So there were no pictures taken. But I snagged this off his class' FB page. Love this little guy!!!

I am so proud of my boy. I didn't feel like meeting up at the flagpole at his school so early in the morning. Mostly because I didn't want to get all dressed up with makeup on. So...I was so proud of him to see a pic posted on his teacher's FB page and that he attended completely on his own!!!

Emily HATES riding in the grocery cart. She finds herself to be a big girl now and wants to walk. And I let her if we are going for a few things. But I make her ride if it's a bigger grocery trip. Sometimes I'll bring the iPad to make my life easier during these larger trips....but I forgot today. So I gave her my phone. She had fun taking some selfies!!

Baby Boy Quilt

I started this on Tuesday. I stopped when it came to the name...because Wednesday I was having another ultrasound. And I really thought a confirmation on a boy would be really nice before I commit to a name. So Thursday I finished this quilt. I LOVED how it turned out!!! And this pretty much seals the deal on our baby boy's name!!!

Another ultrasound

I had a more official and technical ultrasound today. I had to go to a separate imaging office to get it done. It was really nice to get confirmation that we are still having a BOY!!! I saw several images of that! The ultra sound tech took some pics of his feet...and a pic of his face too. Ultrasounds are always lots of fun!! Loved seeing my little guy on the screen!! But it was super nice knowing that he's the perfect size....he's measuring to be due on my due date. I've been a tad worried. I feel like I should be bigger for 21 weeks...and I've only gained a few pounds. So what a relief  that he's right on target! He's measuring to be 14 oz...and at 21 weeks they should be 3/4 a pound.

Pillowcase Dress

I'm not sure what triggered it....probably pinterest. But last night right before falling asleep....I realized I have never made this girl of mine a pillowcase dress!!!! Seriously?!?! What kind of sewing mama am I?? So since she's 3....I'm losing my window for her to be wearing these way cute dresses!! And sadly, she may be my only girl....so I had to jump on it this morning. It only took me 30 minutes to make it...plus this 3 year old was quite needy!! So it shouldn't take as long as 30 minutes.

I may be making more....they are just so cute and so easy!!! And now that she's potty trained....dresses are just so much easier to wear.

Inky Girl

This is not the 1st time this girl has inked herself...actually...it's not even the 1st time this week!!!

This girls loves to color, draw, paint...and it ALWAYS ends with her coloring herself. I hope this means she'll be my crafting buddy when she gets older!!

IT'S A BOY!!!!

We are so very excited to find out that we are having a boy!!! I really do miss having a toddler boy around! I absolutely adore having Emily...and I am ever so so grateful that she is MY little girl and we have her in our family. But we were all rooting for a little boy this time. Elliott didn't go with us to the appointment. So I gave him a bag of "blue" goodies. I told him if we are having a boy it'll be blue stuff....and a girl will be pink stuff. He was pretty excited to just get some fun stuff. But as soon as he opened it up and he said, "I knew it was going to be blue!" He is of course way excited!!

It actually took a while to find out it's a boy....5-10 minutes. I was worried that my doctor would give up and say too bad so sorry.  And at one point I thought I saw the 3 lines that would signify a girl. Afterwards, my doctor said she saw that too and thought the same. Good thing she was persistent!!

Back the Blue Friday!!

It was actually wear college shirt day. But we don't have one for Elliott. He chose to wear a navy blue shirt and navy blue shorts. I don't argue...I always let him choose. And it turns about to be Back the Blue Friday!!! How fitting since that's what he chose to wear! It was fun to see this pic posted on his class' FB page. Love my little guy!!
