Mud hole

So today started out nice and clean. They requested eggs...and here they are cracking the eggs for me.  They usually fight over who gets to crack them...so of course I had to split them up so they can both do it.

And then....this happened. But we got some quiet time in...and I actually napped. So we let them!

And time for the clean up!

Moms & Muffins

I got to spend some one on one time with this special guy of mine! And we never get that these days!! Patrick came with all of us and he sat in the car with Emily & Everett while I went in with Elliott. It was so nice to spend this time with him!!

Everett in his Crib

When your 3 month old starts banging his hands, feet, and head on the little cradle...I guess it's time to upgrade him to his crib...and in his own room. This was pretty hard on me...especially since he is my last little baby! He took a few days to adjust to it...

Everett Jacob -- 14 Weeks

Patrick had a doctor's appointment...so we tagged along with him in the car. And as I was feeding Everett, I realized it's Tuesday!! So I took this week's pictures with my phone. He was quite content and happy since he was just fed!!

So this past week...he has decided to attack his head!! Seriously! I think it's a nervous habit he's started. He just starts scratching his head. I've noticed he does this when he's eating, fussy, tired, or just wants to be held. And this little guy has HARD nails...not flimsy soft ones like most babies. And then one day I had a thought....I'm going to wake up one morning and his head is going to be a bloody mess...and then it happened! I wasn't super shocked....but was a little bit surprised. So now he sleeps with socks on his hands...he doesn't seem to mind so far. And I try to keep an eye on him during the day.

He almost has complete control of his head...but we are not quite there yet.

I love that I can just about get smiles out of him whenever I'd like. He's so much fun!!

I know these last 3 are just about the same...but I just couldn't keep them out!!

Elliott -- Young Chef's Academy

Elliott had such a fun field trip today! Young Chef's Academy!! He said it was his favorite field trip so far...and he's actually had a lot of field trips this year!

For homework...we had to design an apron for him to wear on the field trip...he had a good time coming up with something fun.

Everett Jacob -- 13 Weeks AND 3 months

Our Tuesday pics today happen to fall on his 3 months today!

I'm trying to think what is new with this guy...

He's still a great sleeper at night...not 100% through the night yet...but getting there. Both of the other kids were 100% through the night by now. But I'm okay with it...he's my last...and one day I'm going to miss these days.

He's still a great eater.

He's tracking us more.

He still loves to suck on his hand.

And he is talking more.

Oh he is growing! I am moving out his 0-3 month clothes and brought out his 3-6 month clothing. Always so sad to get rid of those small clothes. Especially this time around since he's our last baby. Which is probably why he's still in his cradle. I have kept him in the cradle the longest so far.

He attended his 1st funeral this past weekend. He now has Patrick beat!

He also took his 1st road trip...since we drove to Katy for the funeral.

He is just smiling all the time....we just LOVE these fun smiles. He loves smiling at his big sister.

Grandma Dunlap & Everett

It was fun to have my parents over for a short weekend trip. And I wanted to be sure we got a pic of Grandma and Everett!

Dunlap Family

My parents came into town to go to a old family friend's funeral. On the way back...we took a little detour through Navasota. Dad showed me some graves of family...and we drove by his old house from when he was a baby. That was so much fun.

I think these others are some cousins or aunts/uncles. I can't remember...I'll have to ask Dad again.

Everett Jacob -- 12 Weeks

I almost forgot our pictures today!!!

Our sweet boy is 12 weeks. He was oh so serious during our 12 week photo shoot. He was happy...but kept making these oh so serious looks! He must've been working on something...ha ha!!

He is getting better at sleeping through the night. About every other night, he's sleeping through the night. If he does wake, it's only once and usually between 2 and 4 am.

I've had to move him out of the swaddlers...they are newborn sized. So I've been loosely swaddling him using our larger receiving blankets that my mom has made and the ones we got from the hospital. He likes being swaddled when I first place him in his cradle. But once he's asleep, he can break free and still stay asleep. And if he really wants to break free, he can...and he doesn't get frustrated and get more awake!

He has found his hand! He loves to suck on his hand lately.

Both kids like to go to his rescue when he gets fussy...I have to fight to have time with my baby when those 2 are around!

He's getting so much more control of his head...yay for tummy time!
