Dear Eve 21 Weeks

Dear Eve,

21 weeks! You are our little caboose...and it's going by so so fast!! You are so anxious to crawl! Yesterday at church in Relief Society, I placed you on the floor. You did some planking...then you scooted up your legs like you were going to crawl...but you didn't move your arms/hands and face planted! You were so mad!! You are just dying to crawl...but you're still so little!! You also tried your first foods this week!! You were pretty indifferent about it. Not super excited...but not upset.

We love you so much little munchkin!!

Clinkscale Color Run

Color Run for the big kids!! It's so nice for Emily to have Elliott there for her so he could help her sign up for the color run. So here is Emily's 1st color run...and like Elliott's 4th one...or last one at Clinkscale!! It was a hot day to hang out with them with Everett and Eve...but it was fun!!!

Eve Elizabeth -- First Foods

Eve had her 1st foods today!! Banana oatmeal! She also tried a banana rusk...and couldn't stand it at all! But she did great with the oatmeal! She was tolerant of it....the sad face was when she was done!

Dear Eve 20 Weeks

Dear Eve,

This week you have started to blow raspberries!! It's so cute!! Elliott kept asking me why you're spitting...I told him it's a fun baby thing that all babies do! You had your 4 month doctor appointment this past week. I told the doctor that your already rolling over and scooting everywhere...she was so surprised!! All your stats have you on target and quite perfect! You were not a fan of those shots though!! And big brother Everett was so sad for you!!

Eve Elizabeth -- crawling??

Nope...not yet!! But she sure is trying!!! She's actually crying here because she's frustrated she can't go forward!!

Dear Eve 19 Weeks

Dear Eve,

This past week we went on a long roadtrip...and you were a champ! On the way there you were so so good! We were so impressed. You stayed in your 1st hotel. We got there pretty late...after 11 pm. But you were so chatty when we all needed to go to sleep. Even Everett said, "Baby Eve...shhhh...go to sleep!" We also visited the Kansas City Temple grounds...it's a beautiful temple! We also visited the Liberty Jail. It was your 1st...but also everyone else's 1st...even Dad's...but not Mom. You were so done with the car trip on the way home. I didn't even dare put you in your carseat the next day!!

Dear Eve 18 Weeks

Dear Eve,

You think you are a big girl and you are doing your best to crawl!! What?!? You can't quite move your hands yet...but you sure do try to scoot. The opposite of an army crawl....whatever that is...that's what you are doing!! We love you so much...and I'm loving these Monday pictures with you!!

Dear Eve 17 Weeks

Dear Eve,

How adorable you are!! We are quite on a schedule these days...the kids are in school...Everett is in preschool and speech. We have our routine down. We just need to get your routine down! You are still a champ at sleeping through the night. You like to play with your toes...you can now roll both ways...and you get mad that you can't crawl!

Dear Eve 16 Weeks

Dear Eve,

Happy Monday pics! I love dressing you up!! So...you love to do blow outs...like every day! So many onesies have stains on them!! How can such a cute little girl make such a mess!! We had a school meeting for Emily this week....you screamed the entire time!! We went back up to school later on to have lunch with Elliott....and you were so happy then!! Thanks for letting me know who's the real boss around here!! Love you sweet little girl!!!

Dear Eve 15 Weeks

Dear Eve,

Look at my little cute Harry Potter!! You pretty much rock any outfit!! I had my hair cut this past week...and you let me!! You were so chill in your carseat!! It was awesome! You are babbling and love to chat with me...it's so fun!! Love you sweet baby!!

Dear Eve 14 Weeks

Dear Eve,

I can't get over how cute these pics are of you this week! You are just so fun. I can officially say that you can roll over now. I thought it was a fluke previously...but you can definitely roll over. You are 2-3 months ahead of all the other kids!! Slow down Eve....I promise you it's not a race!!!! Love you little Eve!!!

Eve Elizabeth 3 Months

First Day 2019-2020

1st day of school!!! I admit...through all the bickering at the end of summer that I’ve been looking forward to this day! But as they board the bus....I already miss them!!! Have a wonderful day kiddos!!! 

1 year ago

1 year ago today we took in our first and only foster care placement. (I just miss those kids so much!) But I feel like my life has been so crazy since then. 5 months fostering...then finishing pregnancy....then the chaotic summer with a newborn. Today I feel I can finally relax and embrace some normalcy. Might not last very long....but I’ll take it!! Eve turns 3 months tomorrow. I would have never imagined that 1 year ago as I was loving on those 2 sweet kiddos that in 1 year I'd have a 3 month old of our own! I feel so blessed...all the time!! Please pray for my foster kiddos!!

Everett--speech

1st day back at speech!! Speech teacher was impressed that he's saying 4 and 5 words in a row!! He has improved so much. One night at dinner he says, "Oh this is delicious!" Where did that word come from?? He's doing good and we are so proud of him!!!

Dear Eve Week 13

Dear Eve,

The kids started school today!! It's been such a crazy summer...but hopefully we'll approach some normalcy at home now! We were busy with the big kids this past week....haircuts...meet the teacher. We had some good friends that came over to meet you too! You are still sleeping through the night pretty good. You roll over all the time! But you get so mad because you get stuck and can't roll back over! You are kind of giggling. It's half a laugh...I'm waiting for your fun belly laugh to come out! Right after I feed you, you are so happy!! You are always smiling...and like to chat with me. And I just love it!! That is when I take your weekly pictures...and that's why we get such good pictures of you!! We love you so much Eve!!
