Elliott's 2nd 1st day of Kindergarten

1st day of school at Elliott's new school!!!!

We are all so excited about this! We had to wake him up. He doesn't have much to choose from for his clothes. It's standardized dress. He has 3 different colored polos and blue and khaki dockers. At first, I was annoyed by this. I had to go buy all new school clothes. But now....I love it!! No drama with school clothes...and everyone wears them.

I am just loving his new school! They are just so sweet and are already loving my little guy and taking such good care of him.

Fighting with Dad

Patrick is such a good Daddy! The kids LOVE wrestling/fighting with their Dad. Elliott was too busy watching TV...so Emily took advantage of her one-on-one time with her Daddy. She was so cute.

This was our last night in our hotel room. Tomorrow we are going to a furnished apartment for a month, until we get into our house.

Contract!!

We are finally on our way to our new house! We have a contract!! We are so excited! And more importantly, since we have a contract now, I was able to get Elliott enrolled to his new school! I could've had him enrolled where the hotel is zoned...but I did not want him switching school back and forth. Plus, where the new house is where the good schools are!

Such a busy day today!!!

School clothes shopping....it's standardized dress!

Haircut for Elliott.

Go to bank (closest one is 20 min away).

Met with realtor to get contract and exchange earnest money.

Enroll Elliott in school.

Contacted lender to get low interest rate locked in.

And lunch for the munchkins.

Whew! BUSY!!!

I LOVE what will be our new house! It just went on the market this week...and as soon as we saw it we scheduled a showing. We were going to go with a foreclosure...we even signed a contract. But we didn't want to spend our life savings fixing it all up! So we ended up pulling out of it.

I really did want a great and spacious building for a house. But this is plenty for us. It is indeed "sufficient for our needs".  Plus...I am looking forward to not having stairs again!

Fort Worth Zoo

We took a visit to the Ft Worth Zoo. It was our first time...so we decided to go on 1/2 price Wednesday. So we all got in for less than $20...I love that!

We really liked this zoo. My favorite was the primates...they created a really cool display of them. Emily liked looking at the gorillas the most.

He was posing...but then when everyone whipped out their cameras...he turned and walked away!

I could not get these two in sync! Elliott's the one that wanted a pic here. 

This one will have to do.

Emily 2 1/2

My little baby...I mean toddler....is 2 1/2 today!

She is getting more strong-willed...but still is sweet as ever...just gets determined from time to time.

She loves reading books.

She wants to be potty trained...but I'm reluctant since we are still in the middle of a move. She tells me everytime she needs a new diaper...it's quite nice.

She says Elliott as "yuh yuh"...it's way cute.

She's talking up a storm.

Her and Elliott love to double team me!

She loves copying her big brother. It's so cute to see them laugh and play together.

She is the world's best sharer! Just be sure to ask first...she'll give you anything...but if you take without asking...she knows she has been wronged and will let you know!

And she especially LOVES to brush her teeth....and she does a pretty good job at it. It's one of the hightlights of her day! The other one is taking her vitamin! Ha!

Buffalo Putt Putt and Nickel Cade

I love that it is finally beautiful outside!! We ventured out and explored Burleson a little more today. I found this miniature golf place on google maps and we thought we'd try it out. It was probably Elliott's first time playing putt-putt....and he LOVED it. Emily loved playing around...and she really loved it when we'd help her and her ball would actually go somewhere.

Afterwards, we had fun in the nickel arcade. Elliott scored big time on tickets...and he had fun picking out his toys.

We then explored some more and found a mexican restaurant to try out. It wasn't bad...not my favorite. I'm anxious to try out a different one next time.

Shoe Girl

I'm not a typical shoe girl. I have my tennis shoes, my sandals, and my church shoes....that's about it for me. I have a few more I wear here and there. I do point out to Patrick how lucky he really is regarding this fact about me! But this girl of mine...she's definitely a shoe girl! She loves to try all of hers on...and all of ours on. Here she is walking around in mine. I really wish that 1st one wasn't so blurry...she was smiling so big!

Escape from the Hotel

Life in a hotel....is crazy!! We definitely have our routine down. I try to take the kids out once a day. Sometimes it's just to run errands. Today we didn't have much going on...so to Peter Piper Pizza we went to! The kids had fun and we made a lunch date out of it!

Breakfast Time

We get breakfasts here at the hotel. They are nice...but they are getting old! I can't wait until we get into our furnished apartment in a week or so!! Eating out is getting old too!!

So here these 2 munchkins are with me hanging out at breakfast time. We get up and ready early so we can eat breakfast with Daddy!

Cooking with Grandma

 Today's our last day in town. We are heading to Fort Worth tomorrow....for good (except for the occasional family visits). So we are having a nice lunch with Patrick's family. Everyone pitched in and helped....even these 2 cuties. I just love that they had an apron their size!!
