Kittens!! Smokey & Shadow

We got kittens today! 2 of them!! We looked at several places and just didn't find what we were looking for. We decided to try one last place before we called it quits for the night and then search tomorrow. And of course...they had these 2 adorable kittens...6 weeks old!!

We wanted them both...Patrick, at first, said no. But I did let him make the call....but he gave in!! We knew it'd be best to keep these 2 together.

We just love them...they are so much fun!!

Girls' Movie Night!!

Emily Rose -- 1st Haircut

When your baby brother has his 1st haircut before you...it's definitely time for a trim!

She was giving me dirty looks the entire time. She did fine. But I think it was because someone else was touching her!

Everett Jacob -- 1st Haircut

When multiple family members comment that your baby has a mullet....it must be time for his 1st haircut!!

We went to cool cuts because they have a cool car to sit in while they watch tv. And they give you a certificate with some hair clippings. We did it with Elliott...so I had to do the same!

Everett was a champ. He was so patient...never even complained or squirmed!

She did a quick mohawk...and asked if I wanted to keep it. I snapped a pic...then declined. I'm fine with spiky hair...just not mohawks.

So very handsome! And so grown up!!

Everett Jacob -- 14 months

Everett is 14 months today!!

These photos will have to do. We just got back from our spring break vacation and we had been in the car all day long!

Everett is still his destructive self....always on the search for things to destroy.

He is getting more confident on his feet...meaning that he'll actually move them while holding onto my hands. But still has no desire to venture into walking.

He also still loves food and bathtime. His bath time gets cut short usually because he has decided he loves to stand in the bathtub...and that is when I cut them short!!

This week Everett has endured his longest road trip! Not his 1st...but definitely the longest! Over 42 hours worth!! (Should've been 42 hours...but the going to Michigan leg we got stuck on icy roads!)

And he is still working on getting his teeth in...we see them through his gums..but he is still toothless!!

Nap Time!

He got a late nap in this afternoon. I turned on the light so he could wake on his own. His bedtime is in 1 hour....and he's still not awake! But look how cute he is...all curled up with his bear!!

Cameron Park Zoo

We heard that Waco has a fun zoo. So we spent the morning there as a family. It was a lot of fun. Not crowded...saw the animals up close...and were done in less than 2 hours. And the kids loved looking at all the many many snakes....who are these kids?!? Everett was pretty chill the entire time...just hanging out in the stroller....never whined or complained!

Afterwards, we had fun going to the Twisted Root Burger restaurant. We tried to go to the Magnolia Bakery...but that line was way too long. So we dropped by the Collin Street Bakery...it was okay...Magnolia would probably have been better.

The giraffes were a lot of fun. Elliott didn't want to be in any of the pics....but I asked him really really nicely for this one!

This was a fun. When we first walked up...the giraffe was licking the window!
