My Children

I love these kids soooo much!! And I'm loving this picture!! I love that I am their Mommy. I love that they both love each other so much. Emily is way more interested in Elliott than me.

Emily 39 Weeks

We are at 39 weeks. Little Emily turns 9 months tomorrow. I look at her and I think she's huge...and I think how fast these last 39 weeks have gone! Where's my newborn baby!?!? No more newborn baby....it makes me sad that she is growing so fast...but she is just so much fun to be around.

She tried avocado this past week. No! Not a fan. She wouldn't eat it...after a few bites she gagged and threw up. So that is the very 1st food that she has said an emphatic no to. She also tried mango and eats it just fine. 

She is getting a lot more mobile. Her crawling circle has grown and she is all over the living room floor. She only goes backwards and rolls...so sometimes she can't quite get to where she wants to go. She is all over her crib and is now playing with some her toys that are attached to the side of her bed. Which is nice that she can entertain herself before I'm fully awake in the morning.

Emily is always happy. Several times this week when we were around friends or even strangers....they ask me if Emily is always this happy and smiley. I have to respond yes. She is such a happy baby...seriously...she is. I feel so blessed that she is such a good baby. The only time she really gets cranky is when she's tired. She's not super attached to me and is happy with whomever is holding her. She's just simply happy that someone is holding her.

This one is typical sweet Emily.

Most things that Emily finds these days go directly and immediately in the mouth. I need to go through all the toys and throw out all the small stuff before she starts crawling.

And when she's on the floor...it's not much longer before you find her like this...doing her push-ups. Elliott tells us that she's exercising.

Elliott loves Emily so much...but Emily also loves Elliott. They are so funny together.

Jake and the Neverland Pirates

I asked Elliott to get me something earlier today. He said, "Aye Aye Sir". He then laughed and called me Captain Hook. Hmmm...I'm not quite sure how to take that. He definitely watches way too much Jake!!

Android Incompatible

I am tired of my Samsung Galaxy S3. I have just ordered my 4th replacement...maybe that's 3rd replacement and 4th phone. I always have some glitch with my phone. And it's not me....because I always have Patrick look at it to fix it. Last night I couldn't get it to act as a media usb drive so I can transfer files to my computer (which my earlier phones could do). So Patrick told me that I'm not compatible with Android!! Ha ha!! I do miss my iphone!

Emily 38 Weeks

My sweet little Em.

38 weeks...1 week shy of 9 months...and 14 more Friday pics to go.

This week Emily has been more mobile. She ends up all over the place in her crib. She is scootching more on the living room floor...but usually wanders in a 4 foot diameter circle.

She LOVES the strawberry yogurt bites. She still doesn't care for the puffs...but that's because she ends up gagging on them. Elliott loves feeding her the yogurt bites..but he also likes sneaking them for himself.

We are seeing more pushups and more on hands and knees. Any day now and I know Emily will be crawling...and my life will definitely get more difficult.

Later on today Emily is going to try avocado (as long as they are ripe enough)...and in a few days mango. She is still a great eater.

I give Emily about 1 bottle of formula every other day. Mostly out of convenience if we are out and about.

We finally got a bow to stick longer than 5 minutes today for pictures. Actually, it stayed there for the entire morning. Love it!

Niagara Falls

Patrick had to go to New York on business. They finished their job really early on Thursday. There was another guy with him, so they decided to drive on up to Niagara Falls...it was a 3 hour drive one way.. Patrick says that if he was by himself he would've driven to Palmyra, NY.

Emily 37 Weeks

Emily is getting a little bit more mobile. Not enough to make life too complicated for me yet.

Twice this week I had to go rescue her from her crib because she had rolled over to her tummy...and was not happy about it. Silly girl...she knows how to roll over both ways and does it all the time...just not in her crib I guess. I did catch her this morning sleeping on her belly.

She wants to be able to move more...she keeps trying to move her knees and picking up her body more off the ground....not enough to start crawling yet...but she definitely wants to move.

She is rolling more and more...and of course she's really good at wiggling and squirming her way around.

She is also sitting up a little bit more...but not for too long.

I have a feeling that her bottom teeth should be coming in soon.

I had some cauliflower from the last basket...so she tried that this week. She's not a huge fan...but she'll eat it....well because she'll eat just about anything really.

I'm going to go get some formula today. I'm needing to supplement...Emily's nursing days are coming to a close soon.
It's always sad for me when I have to change out Emily's clothes for a bigger size....I don't know why. She's growing so fast. She is now in 9-12 months.
This week Emily has been such a cuddler. I love it! Elliott was never a cuddler...and Emily hasn't been until this week. Sometimes when she's tired....but this week she cuddles whenever I hold her. She's my sweet little girl.
Here's her new jeans...all decked out in hearts...love them...so cute. Apparently, she likes them too.
