New Bed!!

We packed away the crib tonight. It was really sad for me. I really hope we'll be able to bring it back out one day. I turned the crib in a toddler bed when Emily's knee got stuck between the slats. But she is such a roller! She falls out of her toddler bed all the time. And she sleeps through it!! So I saw this at a garage sale for cheap...and it comes with a trundle bed too. They have side rails that will keep her in bed. We put a stool next to it so she can climb in. She's not a big climber...so for now, she won't be climbing out. She was pretty excited about it. We talked about it for several days before and she was with me to pick our her sheets. She played in her bed for about 1 1/2 hours before she actually fell asleep! We were going to wait until her 3rd birthday to redo her room and bed....but I couldn't pass up this bed. I can't believe how big she is getting!!

As I was typing this....she went upstairs to get her owl. She climbed in her bed....and couldn't get out! I had to go rescue her.

 She bonked her head when she tried to lay her head on the pillow....

Ward Trunk or Treat

Today was a crazy day! We went to the SuperFaye Fundraiser event at the church building. I donated a sewing class and I wanted to drop off a quilt to display (and ended up selling it there too). So we took a look around and ended up buying a bed for Emily. Then we had Elliott's birthday party. And then the ward's trunk or treat!!

Elliott had so much fun. Emily and I hung out while Elliott helped himself to all the games. He really had so much fun!! When the trunk or treating started....Elliott was nowhere in site. He had taken it upon himself to get started!! No time to waste!! So I took Emily around...she had so much fun. She wouldn't say "trick or treat", but she would raise up her halloween bucket. I would ask if she wanted to do more and she'd quickly say "yes". I finally saw Elliott after I took Emily around, I said, "Elliott I haven't seen you at all." He said, "Well, I've seen you!" And then he was off again! Emily kept asking for "more". So I tracked Elliott down again, and made the kids take a picture!! Elliott had filled his bucket up twice. Emily only went once to all the cars and hers was only 1/2 full. That boy went around 5 times!!!! Crazy! We had so much candy!

We came early so Patrick could help set up. Emily and I were hanging out in the foyer, while Elliott played basketball. So I decided to take some pics of my little Elsa.

Elliott's 6th birthday!

Elliott was so super excited that today was his birthday!! He's been counting down since October 1st! It was so fun to see through his eyes how magical a birthday is when you are young! He even told his bus driver in the morning...very excitedly!!

Emily and I went to visit Elliott during lunch...and I took one of the cupcakes I made earlier that day. 

Then his dad had scheduled several weeks ago to read to his class for his birthday. They had so much fun. They then had a daddy son birthday date at burger king. Elliott's favorite burger is the $1 rodeo burger there.

We still took him to piano lessons. Then afterwards, we celebrated his birthday with just our little family and Kathleen & Don (who are practically family too!)

 So fun to get bedding for a birthday...,ha ha! His new sheets and the quilt I made for him.

 It's folded over at the top, but it's a little monster for his lost teeth. He has 1 loose tooth!

A wii game he picked out a month ago. 

Can I tell you how much I love this game!? It's so good for his age...and it comes with 4 different cards. 

 And the #1 present he LOVED and wouldn't put down playing with them were the trucks from Kathleen & Don!! He played with them for 1-2 hours after opening presents.

Before bed, we had to do our yearly measuring. So fun to see how much they've grown!

We had a party the next day at Peter Piper Pizza. He had so much fun that I didn't get very many pictures of them all playing. Last year we did Chuck E. Cheese. I like Peter Piper a lot better!

And our hostess took a picture with the birthday boy and his mom and dad and printed it out for us!! We LOVE this little guy of ours...can't believe he is 6!! Can't believe it's been 6 years since I gave birth to this special guy...and became a mom!!

Thankful

I am hosting craft club with my Mom's  Club group this week. So, of course, I had to make it beforehand! I finished it today. It was super easy...I did ask Patrick for a little help...but I could have done it by myself. I love it! And my most favorite people for whom I am most thankful for are displayed!!

Oil Ranch Fieldtrip

Emily and I were able to join Elliott on his fieldtrip today. The kindergarten classes went to the Oil Ranch. They had a lot of fun. And it was fun to see Elliott interacting with all his classmates. I was so impressed with how well behaved Elliott is and how well he responds to his teacher. Love it! Elliott loved riding the ponies/horses the most. He really really wanted to ride the white horse. And he completely lucked out and got it!
