Everett Jacob -- 31 Weeks

Our little Everett man is 31 weeks today.

He has started waking in the middle of the night...again! Ugh! Time to start sleep training him again! Every time we go out of town or get off schedule, when we return...he does this.

He is loving baby food right now. Last night I tried out a zucchini, plum, oatmeal combination...and he loved it! I didn't know how it'd turn out! Oh...and he's a total baby food snob. He doesn't like the store bought...he prefers the stuff I make. Which is fine by me, I'd rather him have the real stuff. But I do think it's funny. 

We are still working on our physical therapy...and I can tell he's getting stronger every day.

I work out most mornings....if I don't do it 1st thing in the morning...it usually doesn't happen. But if he's awake...he's so ornery and doesn't like to wait for me to finish. I still do...it's just frustrating. But..this morning...he happily waited for me to finish! When I was done, he wasn't happy about waiting for me to get dressed....silly boy.

We love our little Everett....oh so so much!!!

Elliott Wayne--1st Day of 2nd Grade

I am just so so excited for Elliott!

He is going back to Clinkscale Elementary and will be starting the 2nd grade!

How am I Mom of a 2nd grader already!?!

Oh how I hope he has a fantastic 2nd grade year! 1st grade was tough....that was such a rough year for my sweet little boy. He deserves the most fun and wonderful year this year! I hope he can find a good and nice buddy to hang out with...just a really good friend. He doesn't have a buddy at all...and that makes me so so sad for him. This year is such a big year for him since it's the year he'll be baptized....so I hope overall it is just a special year for him. I also hope his teacher will love him...how a teacher should...and he'll know how much she cares for him.

Every year I try to get him to tell me what he wants to be when he grows up....but he refused to tell me this year. So much for that 1st day of school tradition! That lasted all of 2 years!

Oh I am so so anxious for him to get home so I can hear all about his 1st day!!!

Everett Jacob -- 7 Months

I am a day late posting Everett's 7 Months!! So these pics are from 7 months and 1 day!

Yesterday was pretty crazy busy. And Everett got his 1st babysitter!! He did better than I expected.

This little guy is so full of energy these days...and is just so much fun....but I always say that.

He loves to play with the kids. He loved pulling Elliott's hair...and Elliott thought it was funny too. But now that Elliott got a haircut...that's not going to happen anytime soon.

He still loves his play mat...He's probably too old for it...but he still loves it so I have it sticking around still.

We've spent a lot of our summer getting Everett better with his physical therapy and helmet issues. I feel like he's improved a lot...but we still have a ways to go.

Everett is starting to scootch....not quite crawling...but getting there.

He now rolls both ways!!! Huge milestone there for us!

He loves to eat real food. Well...besides peas. He loves sweet potatoes the best. He's doing really good with the baby rice puffs and loves them, of course. He is so silly. He growls at me when he's ready for another bite. The more he growls, the better he likes the food.

He is starting to talk more....so fun...we all love it!!

Meet the Teacher 2016-17

We had such a good time at Meet the Teacher this year! And I remembered to take pics!!

Elliott's teacher, Mrs. Henry, seems so super nice. I really think 2nd grade will be just such a great year for him!!

He turned in his reading chart, this boy has read almost 3,000 minutes this summer!! So super proud of him!

Everett Jacob -- 30 Weeks

Our little Everett is 30 weeks today!

He is doing a lot better with his physical therapy...he can now roll over to his unfavored side. Which is a huge improvement. And he has been rolling over more on his tummy and giving himself more tummy time! Still a lot to work on. He'll be getting his 2nd doc band next week. His head has rounded out really well so far, but his ears are still not aligned.

The past few days he has been refusing nap time and bedtime. He throws this big huge temper tantrum...and screams...like a scream I've never heard before! I try to rock him...and he just arches his back and screams at me some more. I feel so bad for him....because he's exhausted....so I've been having him cry it out...it's awful. I hope this is a temporary thing!

He is still happy during the day...so that's a plus!!

Everett Jacob -- 29 Weeks

Everett is 29 weeks!

We are in Houston this week...so here we are in a hotel room. Everett was a rockstar on the trip here...so impressed with him. He's taken naps and does bedtime well here in the hotel room too. So grateful for that!

Everett played at the splashpad for the 1st time yesterday. He liked it....but didn't like lying on the ground to play in the water.

Everett Jacob -- 28 Weeks

I am so in love with this little chub!

He gets ornery pretty easily and cries more than my other babies...but he is happy A LOT!!

He's liking solids a lot better. Broccoli...he wasn't quite a fan of.

He had his 6 months shots today...poor thing.

And...good news on the sleep schedule!!!

He is sleeping through the night completely!!!

Once or twice a week he may cry around 3 am...but he goes right back to sleep. He goes to bed at 6 pm and wakes between 5 and 6 am.

So proud of my little boy!!

He's at such a fun age...where we can play with him.

It's hard to get a laugh out of him...but when we do...it's so much fun!
