We had another Mom's Club activity. HEB took all of us on a tour of their store. It was a really good tour...the only real downside was there soooo many of us!! We were quite the sight! There was probably around 13 grocery carts of us moms on this tour...and we even doubled up the kids in the grocery carts....maybe 35 total mom and kids. It would be really ideal for about 5 carts max or just use strollers or walk.
They first took us to the produce and talked about myplate.gov and how we need our fruits and vegetables. They then offered the kids strawberries and apples.
The kids then got gloved and they were able to pet a lobster. Elliott was scared to pet, but he was very interested in it.
We then got to sample their freshly baked tortillas.
We abandoned our carts and went inside the freezer.
And then the dairy refrigerator.
We ended the tour with a cookie and apple juice at cafe on the run. And then H E Buddy came out and gave the kids some buddy bucks.
Not bad for a local grocery tour.
Elliott was concerned that his hair would get messed up with the crown on his head. I've created a monster, he's always concerned with his hair getting messed up.
